Additionally, Vermietet.de has an intelligent learning system which gets better with use, and gives options such as creating legally compliant ancillary cost statements, templates for reminders and rent increases, digital and legally secure rental contracts, a tax report for Plant V, tenant search tools, market value assessments, and automated rent receipt checking. All these features make Vermietet.de a powerful and easy-to-use platform for managing the complexities of real estate.

Challenge

The main difficulty of this application is not so much development, but rather testing. Testing mobile apps can be extremely difficult. Developers must carry out extensive testing to make sure an app functions properly on both iOS and Android devices. Since iOS needs the entire package of application documentation before it can be installed on the phone, this can unfortunately be a time-consuming process.

Process

Vermietet.de is almost entirely a hybrid application. The only element in which native development was used was the registration screen. This is exactly what our Stormotion team has been working on. Currently, we are performing maintenance on the application, monitoring all notifications and alerts, and fixing any issues as they arise. 4 of our specialists worked on this application: a developer, a technical lead, a tester and a project manager.

Solution

The team had an exciting idea to switch to EXPO – a framework that simplifies the testing of applications. This framework has a lot of great features, one of the most important being the ability to quickly distribute the application and test it inside the app. The transition to EXPO gave us the opportunity to test the app on both Android and iOS, allowing us to perfect our development as we went along. We were able to improve the user experience and advance our app with the help of EXPO.
